On September 11th, Eric Huebner will be giving the west coast premiere of my piano solo Crude Words, Refined Grammars in a recital at the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles. The program, part of the Fazioli Piano Series, will also feature works by Luciano Berio, Paolo Cavallone, Roger Reynolds, Salvatore Sciarrino, and Eric Wubbels. An expert new music interpreter, Huebner is an Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo, and since 2012 he has served as the pianist for the New York Philharmonic. I had the pleasure to work with Eric on the premiere of my song cycle Descriptions of the Moon, and I am thrilled to be working with him again.
